On my drive to Home Depot, I was fairly confident and excited to go in and explore what they had to offer me. Once inside, I was overwhelmed with all the decisions and choices I had to make. I was way out of my element.
Ultimately, I got out of there with supplies I needed to buuld my first real DIY project, and I'll be damned if you can build a better one your first time out of the shoot. And the Yankees WINN. RANDY WINN!!

Today in Sports History
#44 Willie "Stretch" McCovey hit his 521st and final career HR off Scott Sanderson of the Montreal Expos. His 521 career HR's tied him with "The Splendid Splinter" Ted Williams on the All-Time HR list.
McCovey had his #44 retired by the SF Giants in 1975, before he came back to the Bay Area to finish out his career. Willie was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1986, appearing on 81.4% of ballots cast.
He wore #44 in honor of Hank Aaron.
Here's to you Willie!

DIY Monday
Today is a day that will test my mettle and my patience. First, a little background. We moved into our new apartment in February of this year, there are 2 bedrooms, but 1 closet - in the hallway, and it's 4' wide. Not hardly big enough for our stuff. We bought these free-standing racks from Target in March and they both broke this week. They snapped and clothes were strewn all over the second bedroom - or walk-in closet - as we refer to it. I told my brother, the handy man, I wanted to build something out of wood - so that my wife and I can hang our clothes and live like normal people.
Time to throw with my brother. I will check back later and fill you in on my progress.
