Tough loss for the ACC.  Oh well.  I'm over it.

Duke is playing a cupcake - Colgate.  52 point victory over the Patriot League's Colgate.  Good warm-up.

Going to bed.  Long Island at 7am, Bronx at 11am, Boston at 9pm.  Travelling hillbillies.

James A. Garfield

The 20th President of the United States of America, James Abram Garfield would have turned 179 today.  He was assassinated walking through the Sixth Street Station of the Baltimore and Potomac Railroad.  He was in office for just over 6 months before he died, courtesy of a bullet fired by Charles J. Guiteau on July 2nd.  He died in office on September 19, 1881. 

Guiteau was a smug S.O.B. all the way to the end.  He loved being in the public's eye, waving and smiling all the way to his execution.  The reason he shot the President... ...he thought he should be given a government job.

Guiteau was mentioned in the song "Mr. Garfield" by Johnny Cash.
