Hello, Berman!

All-Star Game
It used to be a game I watched intently and for longer than the starting lineups.  Tonight, I just can care less about watching it.  I took in a bit of the HR Derby last night - and that was fun - besides Chris Berman shouting at everyone throughout the broadcast.  I used to enjoy listening to him and his quirky nicknames for players, but it's gotten extremely hard listening to him.

The game itself is an exhibition of the "best" players in the league and determines home-field advantage in the World Series.  There's people playing this game that know already they have no chance at making the postseason, let alone the World Series - do they care?  I think they do.  It's a matter of league pride - American League players want their AL counterparts to win the whole thing.  That's my train of though anyway.

But back to Berman - why does he find it necessary to scream into the microphone?  Does he not understand that it is on?

Anyway, I have been feeling very unmotivated to write lately but bear with me.  I assure you I will bounce back and rev it right back up - just give me some time.

Til next time.

You either are experiencing the Dog Days Of Summer of you're just to dang tired to write because you are a daddy now. Nobody says you can't "coast" once in awhile while doing the "blog thing'...

I agree about the All Star Game, I don't watch it either. I have had it on with the sound turned down since the 2nd inning but I haven't a clue on the score. The true ALL STARS aren't really there, most of 'em anyway. I liked it too when I was a kid...the players played their asses off in this game but I think Bud Selig is living in the past if he really believes that this game will ever be truly relevant again, it isn't going to happen.

Berman is as annoying as Joe Morgan, John Miller and Tim McCaver.

Major reason why I flip the dial the second he comes on, be it for a t.v. show or a commercial.
