1 - UCLA pitcher and #1 pick in today's MLB Draft, Gerrit Cole, was also the #1 pick in the 2008 MLB Draft. And he throws 101mph.
14 - Number of hits #2 needs to get to 3,000 for his career. Jeter and the Yankees return home tomorrow to start a 10-game home stand. 14 in 10 games in order to do it in the Bronx. Pressure.
7 - Average number of diapers Nolan burns through in a day. Impressive.
12 - Number of games the Phillies are over .500. They've got the best record in baseball. No surprise here.
88 - No, not Eric Lindros. That's the number of HR's the Yankees have hit, 18 more than #2 - the Rangers.

Preface; PPV; Reading
Now that baseball season is over the the Manhattan Jaspers, I will look forward to once again becoming a regular here in the blog world. I admit, between baseball and being a new father, time is limited. I do my best though, so bear with me. And thanks to those of you who followed our season and I apologize for the ass-whooping we got at Florida on Friday afternoon.
Anyway, back to the blog:
PPV
110% Jerk Material - I don't think it's about some guy who acts like an idiot. And it's impossible to give more than 100%, anyway.
The Cockpit, 3 - I'm just saying, but I doubt this is a documentary about being a pilot.
Rear View - Not about the mirror, I promise.
Butt Dialed - There no mistaking that these calls are not by accident. I think they're dialed in on one thing.
Reading
I recently began reading Life, a memoir by Rolling Stones guitarist and band founder Keith Richards. Not to sound like a douche bag or like I know everything, but this book is pretty captivating. I used to read a lot, and I think I'm back in that mold, because I've read this book for 5 days and am on page 70 already - and read slow as shit. So this book not only keeps my attention, but it is written almost as if he's speaking - something I tend to do when I write my blog.
Growing up getting bullied in England, he had a pretty tough life, but he was determined to make it. And I'd say he had a pretty good run. I guess he's on Twitter too, KeithRichards43, but I am not sold it's him.
I am on Twitter @ryaninthebronx - so follow me. It's an easy way to read my blogs, since they get posted there as soon as I publish them here.
Time to take the dog out and when I get back in, give Nolan a little bath, get the Florida scuzz off him a little.
Later knuckleheads!
