Right now I am hard-wired into the modem - very restricting.
Linksys tries to charge me $39.99 every six months so I can stay up to date with their bullshit firmware upgrades. If you don't pay the fee, they only answer general questions but nothing related to tech support.
I ordered a new router since the one I have now is 7 years old and is like a twentieth generation model from the '90's. I used $30 worth of Best Buy gift cards to help defer the cost and got free shipping (and it already shipped) so when it gets here, I guess it's pretty easy to set up.
That's what they're saying - three step process to connect to internet. We'll see about that.
At least the internet works, regardless of the fact that I have to sit on the floor 6' from the television to use the computer.
