Role Model of the Day: LaMarr Woodley

I am a die hard Irish fan.  In my mind heart it is God Country Notre Dame Football/Yankee Baseball. I HATE Michigan and Ohio State. But above all else in life, I put these childish rivalries aside for the betterment of mankind. 

I logged into ESPN today and saw the headline " Woodley covers $60K tab for schools"
I knew Woodley was a Wolverine and never really liked him too much, but after reading this I hold him in a very high regard.  THIS is what we need more of and we need less of Chard Ochocinco Johnson types beating their wife.


The Saginaw School District, for the first time in its school district history, is instituting a “pay-for-participation” program that would require high school students to pay $75 per sport and middle school students to pay $50 dollars per sport.The district did set limits as they won’t charge more than $75 dollars per student and no more than $250 per family.

Kudos to Mr. Woodley, giving back to your community so the next generation can have the same opportunity as he did growing up. Let's hope this can turn into a Disney move one day:  NFL superstar donates money to struggling school district's athletic program. One of the benefactors becomes star athlete and plays against Mr. Woodley (on his last leg) in the Super Bowl.
